Marshall Roy Ticehurst

Marshall Roy Ticehurst, 91, passed away peacefully at his home, in Topeka, on January 6, 2018. He was born on November
13, 1926 in Topeka to Roy and Gertrude Vassar Ticehurst. Marshall attended Sumner Elementary School,
Roosevelt Junior High and Topeka High School. Following his service in the US Navy during World War II,
he attended Washburn University. Marshall owned and operated Kaw Valley Oil Company throughout
his career.

Marshall married the love of his life, Juanita Davis, on May 20, 1947 and they celebrated 70 years
together this past year. Juanita survives as do his daughters, Marsha Oliver (Phil) and Diane Burton
(Larry); a grandson, Aaron Burton (Valeri); a granddaughter, Linzi Breckenridge, and three great
grandchildren. His parents and sister, Betty Keeler, preceded him in death.

Marshall chose cremation. A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, January 10th at 10:30 am at
Davidson Funeral Home, at 1035 N. Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. The family will welcome guests Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be sent directly to the organization of your choice in Marshall’s name.
