Marlene “Shuggie” L. Baldwin, age 41, of Topeka, passed away at her home in Topeka Sunday, April 4, 2021. Marlene was born July 23, 1979 in Topeka the daughter of George and Arlene (Brown) Baldwin. Marlene grew up in Topeka, attending Highland Park High School. She had worked as a parole officer at the Kickapoo Courthouse and later at Stormont Vail Hospital in housekeeping. Marlene is survived by three sons, Juan Morones, Sunny Morones and George Baldwin; two daughters, Kayla Baldwin and Angel Morones; and three grandchildren. Marlene enjoyed making native bead work and dresses.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Indian Reservation, east of Horton. Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
