OBITUARY: Mark E. Wilson
Mark E. Wilson passed away suddenly on Oct. 30, 2008, at his home in Topeka, KS. A funeral service to honor his memory will take place at 3:00 PM, Mon., Nov. 3, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Mark will be laid to rest at Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. Mark will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Sun., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Mark was born to Robert and Virginia Wilson Oct. 14, 1955, in Topeka and grew up in Topeka. In 1974, he met Cindy Tetuan and they were united in marriage Oct. 14, 1983, in Topeka. They recently celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Mark was employed with the BNSF Railroad.
He was preceded in death by Virginia Martin, his mother. Surviving to honor Mark is his best friend & wife, Cindy Wilson, and his children: Mike Gowing & his wife, Allison, of Lawrence, KS, Michelle Gowing of Topeka, KS. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Mia, Maegan, Lavinia, Juliet, & Makenna; his father: Robert Wilson of Florida; siblings: Nikki Davis of Bartlesville, OK, Marcia & Robbie Wilson of Bartlesville, OK, Rhetta & Richard Lira of Topeka, and Dawn & Bill Gomez of Topeka; and the rest of his beloved family and many friends.
