Marjorie Marie Brumbaugh, 82, Silver Lake, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Oakley Place in Topeka.
She was born August 26, 1936, in Clay County, Kansas, the daughter of George and Twila (Lewis) Simpson. She graduated from Longford High School in 1954 and Brown Mackie Business School in Salina. Marjorie was employed for many years with Plumbing by Carlson.
She was secretary for the Silver Lake Rural Water District Board No.2 and a past member of the Grove Sportsman Club, Grove, and several camping groups. Marjorie's family was the pride and joy of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's varied activities and sporting events, as well as playing cards and visiting with friends.
Marjorie married Harry Lewis Brumbaugh on April 13, 1957, in Salina, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2013. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Lewis Brumbaugh.
Survivors include three daughters: Julie (Laurence) Berger, Everest, KS; Judy (Jim) Curtis and Connie (Douglas) Searcy, all of Topeka; six grandchildren: Kevin (Staci) Berger, Gina (Ryan) Holen, Allison (Bryan) Mulberry, Colleen (Andy) Knudsen, Matthew Searcy and Mallory Searcy; four great-grandchildren: Amelia & Ava Berger, Nathan Holen and Lewis Mulberry; and one sister: Dorothy (Kenneth) Lilley, Silver Lake.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
