Marilyn J. Zinn, 88, passed away on November 30, 2023 at Midland Hospice House with her husband by her side.
She was born July 3, 1935 to Frank and Vera Hafer in Topeka. She grew up in Mayetta and graduated from Mayetta High School in 1953.
Majoring with a degree in Education, she graduated from the University of Kansas in 1957, and went on to teach kindergarten at Lincoln School for four years.
Marilyn married James M. Zinn, June 10, 1961 at First United Methodist Church in Topeka. They enjoyed 62 years together.
Marilyn was a devoted wife and loving mother, who took great pride in her family and home.
Marilyn had a deep and abiding faith in God. She was a 61-year member of First United Methodist Church of Topeka, active in the United Methodist Women, and taught the Horizon Sunday School class for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband, three children, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and sister.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church on 12 December 2023 at 1:00pm. Davidson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
