Marilyn Louise Mickey, 89, of Topeka, passed away on March 16, 2023 at her home.
She was born on December 29, 1933 to Lester and Bertha (Eisenhower) Kendall in Topeka, Kansas.
Marilyn graduated from Seaman High School. She was a homemaker for her entire life, providing for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
On December 27, 1952, she married Raymond E. Martin. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1989.
Later she married Cameron LeRoy Mickey on February 23, 1991. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2012
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Helena Chapter 210. Marilyn was a cake decorator primarily with wedding cakes. She also was an avid seamstress and enjoyed crafting. Marilyn collected dolls and also built the doll houses for them. She also collected angels figurines.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Marvin (Jamie) Martin, Lisa Martin, and Roxanne (Sharon) Martin-McCleary; step children, Lyle Mickey, Lynette Mickey, and Lynn Mickey; grandchildren, Larry, Brandy (Chris), Vince (Holly), Karen (Dylan), and Amanda (Austin); great grandchildren, Charity (Sandy), Megan, Broden, Robbie, Linken, Sawyer, Maleigha, Makynzey, Makennah, Jaxon, Rayden, and Nora; great great grandchildren, Colton, Connor, and Savannah; and other grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Ray Martin; both of her parents; sisters, Helen Taylor and Gleda Meyer; brothers, Bill Kendall and Wayne Kendall.
Visitation, where the family will greet friends will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Parker Price Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Private family services will take place at a later date with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Phoenix Hospice in Marilyn's name.
