Marilyn Marie Johnston

Marilyn M. Johnston, 75, of Topeka, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Midland Hospice Care. She was born on December 1, 1944 at Girard, Kansas the daughter of Maxi DeFrance and Ethel (Combs) DeFrance. She was raised in Girard and graduated from Girard High School in 1962. She was employed at Jostens in Topeka before retiring.  She married John Earl Johnston on March 26, 1966.  Survivors include her husband, John of over 54 years; a daughter, Michele Smith of Topeka; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Jefferey Wayne Johnston in 2013; two brothers, Arthur Ray DeFrance and Max DeFrance, and one sister, Jane Hilton.

Memorial gathering will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.
