Marilyn M. (Faust) Ham, age 86 passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home in Topeka. Marilyn was born March 22, 1932 in Topeka the daughter of Ralph V. and Mildred N. (Sarver) Faust. She grew up in Topeka, graduating from Topeka High School in 1949. She married Joseph Ham June 18, 1950 in Topeka. She worked as a beautician at Pelletiers’s, Macy’s and later out of her own home for over 20 years. She previously attended Lowman United Methodist, Potwin Presbyterian, First Congregational and recently First Presbyterian Church. Marilyn enjoyed playing bridge and Mah Jong. She enjoyed music and performed in several bands such as Topeka Big Band, Santa Fe Band, Fairlawn Road Swing Band and Topeka Polka Band. Over the years, she was involved in the Topeka Ballet, Topeka Art Guild and dancing. Marilyn was a talented amateur artist, avid swimmer and walker. She enjoyed baking and sharing her homemade cinnamon rolls with her family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Joe of over 68 years; two sons, Nathan (Leslie) Ham and John Ham, both of Topeka; a daughter, Jennifer Ham of Topeka and four grandchildren, Kathryn, Madison, Tanner, Daxton and her loving cat Ziggy. She loved her family very much, and enjoyed talking to them every day.
Memorial services will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Topeka. Private inurnment will be at the Lynn Creek Cemetery later. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Cat Association of Topeka and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
