OBITUARY: Marie E. O'Dell

Marie Elizabeth O'Dell, 90, Topeka, died Thurs., Oct. 30, 2008, at Brewster Place. She was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Alta Vista, the daughter of Irvin A. and Alice M. (Hooper) Andres. Marie was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was married to Vernon E. O'Dell, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Daryl O'Dell in 1941 and Duane O'Dell in 1947. Surviving are 2 daughters: Beverly Perreault of Des Moines, IA and Brenda Garvey (DeWayne) of Orrville, OH; a sister: Mildred Heinold (Louis) of Neosho, MO; a brother: Rev. Alvin Andres (Edmee) of Topeka; 2 granddaughters: Kristine Garvey of Orrville, OH and Kimberly Legerski (John) of Warren, OH; and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., Nov. 1, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Marie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at First Assembly of God Church, 500 SW 27th St., Topeka, KS 66611-1295.
