Marianne Ihde

Marianne Ihde, born June 6, 1930 in Berkheim, Germany, passed away due to complications from a fall on March 15, 2025. She was 94 years old.

Marianne is survived by her three daughters, Annegret (Brian) Ball, Edeltraut Henry and Ursula (Lee) Corber. She was a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother - known as Oma to all generations. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ernst and Frida Starzmann, her first husband, Reinhold Herrmann and second husband, Ray Ihde. She retired from Adams Business Forms after working for more than 30 years as a factory worker. She was a member of Perry Church of Christ in Perry, Kansas.

Marianne loved her family and loved traveling, making yearly trips to Germany until recently. She traveled all over the world including Europe, Canada, South Africa, Costa Rica, Israel, India and Russia as well as traveling all over the United States and cruising to Alaska. She loved her home which was full of light and was living and driving herself everywhere until shortly before her death. Her family and friends will miss her light and laughter, incredible hospitality, the wisdom and insight she had, her incredible food, including her German potato salad (Kartoffelsalat) and spaeztle, the normal days and holidays she made so special at her home, including playing aggravation, Tri-ominos and uno with all the kids.

Marianne was cremated per her request and a memorial service is being planned for a later date.
