Marcia Ann Snepp

Marcia Ann Snepp, 74, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014.

She was born March 1, 1940 in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Arthur and Virginia Ruth (Eberhart) Bell. She was a graduate of Dodge City High School and later became a Registered Nurse in 1961 from St. Francis School of Nursing in Wichita, KS.

Marcia served as a RN for 48 years for various physicians and hospital facilities in Kansas and Colorado before retiring from Stormont-Vail Hospital in 2009.

She was baptized in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL.

Marcia married Don Neufeld in 1962. To this union, a daughter was born, Andette. They divorced. She married Ed Parks in 1967. To this union, a daughter, Suzie and a son, Jason were born. They were divorced. She married Dean Lewis Snepp in 1999. He survives. Other survivors include three children, Andette McAdoo, Topeka, Suzie (Dan) Sullivan, Topeka and Jason Parks, Arvada, CO; four step-children, Larry (Sue) Snepp, Becky (Terry) Poe, Terry (Rachel) Snepp, all of Topeka and Dean A. Snepp, Holton; eight grandchildren, Sam and Allison McAdoo, Connor, Kate and Maggie Sullivan, McKinley, Ethan and Kaileigh Parks; 12 step-grandchildren, Clay, Angie, David, Dana, Megan, David, Chris, Sam, April, T.J., Jordan and Kimmie; a sister, Arlyce (Jim) Reidl, Portland, OR; two brothers, Ron (Alice) Bell, Dodge City, KS and Jim (Susan) Bell, Dowington, PA; her canine companion, Molly and feline companion, Emmy.

Marcia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, (especially to light houses and watching ships on the Great Lakes), having her nails and hair done, reading and beading.

A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Marcia will lie in state from 3-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
