OBITUARY: Mae Louise Streeter
Mae Louise Streeter, 90, Topeka, peacefully passed away Sun., March 15, 2009. Mae was born Sept. 21, 1918, at Mayetta, the daughter of Earl and Louise L. (Knier) Dryer. She worked as head cook at Highland Park High School for 9 ½ years. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and Helena Chapter # 210, O.E.S. Mae married Donald G. Streeter on Feb. 9, 1938, at Holton. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2000. Surviving are a daughter: Joyce L. Martich of Frankfort, IL; a son: Lee E. Streeter of Berryton; a sister: Imogene Creech of Columbus, OH; 2 grandchildren: Connie L. Lang and David A. Streeter; and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., March 18, 2009, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, followed by Eastern Star Services conducted by Helena Chaper # 210, O.E.S. Interment in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mae will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tues., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
