OBITUARY: Mary "Lucille" Childrey
Mary "Lucille" Childrey, 89, Topeka, died Sat., July 19, 2008, in Gallatin, TN. She was born July 22, 1918, in Topeka.
She worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue for 26 years before retiring.
Surviving are 4 sons and 2 daughters: Norman L. McCollum, Francis D. McCollum, Rodger D. McCollum, Dara G. Harrison, Sandra L. Williams, and Floyd F. Cloud; 2 sisters: Maxine Taylor and Wanda Phillips; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thurs., July 24, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. Lucille will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at the funeral chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Wed.
