Luellen Filby

LuEllen Filby, 67, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on August 6, 2018.   She was born in Topeka, Kansas, September 18, 1950 to Lois Jean and John C. Taggart.  She graduated from Topeka High School in 1968.  LuEllen worked for the City of Topeka in Development Services for 31 years until she retired in 2012.

She enjoyed going to the casino, reading, watching old movies, listening to music and fishing. She also had two cats, Missy and Sophie.

She married her high school sweetheart Gary Filby. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2015.  LuEllen is survived by her son Matthew Filby (Jim) of Topeka; sister, Chris Cypret of Topeka; two sisters-in-law, Linda Orton of Topeka and Sandra Raburn in Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews which include, Kristie Willie of Scranton, Beth Willie of Topeka and Megan Willie-Sams of Topeka.

A memorial visitation will be held on August 13, 2018 from 7-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
