Lucille Chandler, 88, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Presbyterian Manor.
Lucille was born July 12, 1919 in Topeka, the daughter of Matthew and Clara (Havens) Williams.
She married Bern L. Chandler, Sr. on November 1, 1940. He died July 14, 1996. Survivors include a son; Carl M. Chandler and wife, Sharon, Topeka; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and brother, Matthew Williams, Jr., Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, Bern Chandler, Jr., one sister, one brother, and one great granddaughter.
Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and gardening.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private family inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4125 SW Gage, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
