Lucile W. Terry, formerly of Topeka, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016. Lucile was born in Oskaloosa, Kansas to Guy and Edna Warren on August 29, 1923. She married Dr. C.O. Terry on April 21, 1946 and supported him as a receptionist at his chiropractic practice in Oakland. He preceded her in death October 3, 1997.
During their 51 years of marriage, "Doc" and Lucile enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, boating and gardening. But nothing compared to her joy and love of becoming a great-grandmother. She moved to Greeley, Colorado in 2007 to be near her family.
Mrs. Terry was a long-time member of the Church of the Nazarene and a born-again Christian. She is survived by daughter, Trudy Evans of Union City, TN and daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Steven Hooten, of Greeley, CO; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; one sister Louise Gentry; two brothers Louis Warren and Lyman Warren all of Kansas and one son-in-law, Gaylon Evans of Tennessee.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas.
