Lorraine G. Wright

Lorraine G. Wright, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born September 6, 1926 at Gridley, Kansas the daughter of Silas and Hazel (Zink) Laws.   Lorraine moved to Topeka in 1970.   She worked at Seymour Foods for several years before they closed.  She then began a long career at Highland Park High School, helping with food preparation.  She retired in 1994.   Lorraine attended Full Gospel Lighthouse Church.

She is survived by seven children, Gary Wright of Burlington, Terry Wright of Topeka, Larry Wright of Topeka, Bobby Wright of Topeka, Pam Rickel of Carbondale, Gloria Mathey of Osage City and Kathy Vest of Topeka; two brothers, Larry Laws of Bartlesville, OK and Leon Laws of St. Louis; one sister, Laura Waugh of Topeka; 12 grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 11th at Davidson Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  Follow the funeral service, Lorraine will be cremated and her urn will be buried at Westlawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka Ks 66608 to help Pam with funeral expenses.
