Lorraine I. Hildreth

Lorraine I. Hildreth, 87, of Ozawkie, passed away on March 29, 2024. She was born June 1, 1936 in Lake City, Iowa. Lorraine was raised at Rockwell City, Iowa and graduated from high school there in 1955.
Lorraine was married to Gary "Shorty" Ray Hildreth June 12, 1955 in Jolly, Iowa. She and Gary moved to the Topeka area. They made their home on Village Greens for over 37 years. She enjoyed gardening her flowers and vegetable gardens, crochet, walks with Gary every night after dinner. Lorraine was a wonderful cook. She was her grandchildren's biggest fan, and would always be there to support them. She loved to play, watch and babysit her grandchildren. She was a tremendous wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Alan (Charmaine Lucas) Hildreth, Randy (Nexealina) Hildreth, Cynthia (John Blue) Hildreth-Blue, Shelley (Bill Wells) Carlow, and Jennifer (Troy) Chadwell; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four sisters, Barbara Comstock, Linda Reeder, Lola Peterson, Andrea Wuebker.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Gary "Shorty" Hildreth on March 4, 2022; her son Gary Ray Hildreth, Jr., her parents and siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Parker-Price & Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka Kansas 66606.
