Loretta Ann Bivona

May 29, 1946 — December 1, 2021

Loretta Ann Bivona (Halloran), 75, passed away surrounded by her daughters on December 1, 2021.  Loretta was the daughter of Bernard and Della Halloran, the adoring mother to Eric Halloran, Leah Loveland, Denae Grim (Gary), Amey McAllister (Brian), and Alisa Van Gels (Bill), the proud grandmother “Nana” to Nicole Halloran, Thomas Dement, Trevor Halloran, Leah Caso, Brianna Grim, Kaitlyn Grim, Willie Van Gels, Brody McAllister, Analisa Van Gels, Mia McAllister, Bryce McAllister, and the great grandmother to Chailyn Dickinson, Rylee Dickinson, Ayden Halloran, and Elah Caso.  Loretta was a lifelong friend, more like a sister, to June Barnes.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Della Halloran, her son, Eric Halloran, her oldest granddaughter, Nicole Halloran.

Loretta’s greatest love was her family and being a homemaker.  She was incredibly proud of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.  She was a talented seamstress and creative craft maker. She had an amazing sense of humor even to the end of her life.  She loved planting flowers in the spring and decorating for Christmas in the winter while listening to Merle Haggard or Elvis Christmas albums.  Some of our favorite memories of our mother include late night drives to get donuts, intense games of Skip-Bo, hearing her cheer the loudest from the bleachers during soccer games, listening to Donna Fargo and Jackson Five or watching her favorite movie, “Moonstruck.”  She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved eating family dinners all together.  She loved shopping and never came home without something for one of her grandkids.  Though she had no formal cosmetology training, she was naturally gifted at makeup and hairstyling.   She was always proud to cut her kids’ hair into the latest styles.

Despite her relentless battle with mental illness and dementia, Loretta’s faith never wavered.  She knew her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and looked forward to walking in Paradise with her parents, son, granddaughter, lifelong friend Mary Adams and countless others that she loved dearly.
