OBITUARY: Lonnie Gene Hunter
Lonnie Gene Hunter, 24, Topeka, died Sat., Nov. 12, 2005, at his parents' Lecompton home. He was born Aug. 10, 1981, at Topeka the son of Larry E. and Linda D. Hunter.
Lonnie was a 4 year baseball letterman at Perry-Lecompton High School where he graduated in 2000. He attended Highland Community College where he played baseball. He was an assistant manager at Advance Auto Parts. He attended Lecompton Un. Methodist Church. He was an original member of Throttle-Fed Motorcycle Club where he organized many of the club's events.
Surviving are his parents: Larry E. and Linda D. Hunter of Lecompton; a brother: Lenn Hunter of Overland Park; paternal grandmother: Daisy Hunter of Topeka; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother: Jack and Joyce Swenson of Topeka; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 17, 2005, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence, Topeka. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lecompton. Lonnie will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
