OBITUARY: Lola May Allen

Lola May Allen, 86, Topeka, died Fri., Aug. 15, 2008, at Midland Hospice House. She was born Jan. 20, 1922, in Wabaunsee County, the daughter of William L. and Jessie F. (Winston) Allen.

Lola worked at Adams Business Forms for 43 years, retiring on April 27, 1984. She was baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She adored her family and was at her happiest when doing for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris DeHart; and a brother, Chester Allen.

Surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law: Loretta and Robert Mulvihill and June and Frank Bunce all of Topeka; her cat: Misty; her dog: Angel; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon., Aug. 18, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Keene Cemetery. Lola will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Sun., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Pace or Midland Hospice Care at 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800.
