Lola Marie Rogers, 90, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012.
She was born August 16, 1921 Friedens, PA, the daughter of Louis and Cora (Geary) Richie.
She was employed by Bible Supply Station in Topeka for 19 years before retiring.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of Northland Christian Church.
Lola married Roy A. Rogers on September 11, 1948 in Raton, NM. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1972. Survivors include two sons, Rusty (Kris) Rogers, St. George, KS and Allen (Theresa) Rogers, Baldwin City, KS; a daughter, Margie (Dan) Hubbard, McDonald, KS; 10 grandchildren, Brady, Shelly, Eileen, Adam, Tana, Charles, Christie, Roger, Roy, and Rachelle; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell, Ralph, Raymond, Robert, and Roy Richie; sisters, Camelia Mort, and Margie Mahler.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Lola will lie in state from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home Sunday. A graveside service will be 4 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at the McDonald Cemetery, McDonald, KS.
