Lois "Louise" Ingram

Lois "Louise" Ingram, 94, Topeka, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2003, at her daughter s home in Topeka. She was born Feb. 25, 1909, in Kingman County, the daughter of John Isaac and Cassie Florence Bradshaw Starkey. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1927. She moved to Topeka in 1930. Mrs. Ingram was a 65-year member of the Oakland Church of the Nazarene. She will be sorely missed by her family who admired her tenacity and undying love. She married Paul K. Ingram on July 29, 1927, in Kingman. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1989. A son, Donald D. Ingram, died Aug. 2, 2003. Survivors include a daughter, Clella Ault, Topeka; a son, Vernon Ingram, Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren: many great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and extended family members. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ingram will lie in state at after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Hospice, 1212 Walnut, US-59 highway, Oskaloosa, 66066-4200.
