Lois J. Delfelder

June 16, 1930 — November 20, 2020

Lois J. “Jones” Delfelder, 90, of Topeka passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at the University of Kansas St. Francis Campus in Topeka.  Lois was born June 16, 1930 in St. Marys, Kansas the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Guyette) Jones.  Lois graduated from St. Marys High School.  She married Kenneth E. Delfelder June 23, 1951 in Topeka.  She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until she retired after 36 years.  She then worked for the Kansas Legislature in the library for 10 years.  Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth,  September 7, 2002; three sisters, Pearl McCaul, Ruby Desch, Lillian Pogson; six brothers, Harry, Robert, Kenneth, Francis and Harold, a twin brother, Lee Jones; and a son-in-law, Steve Ramsey.  Lois is survived by three daughters, Diana Ramsey of San Diego, CA, Dana (Jason) Boyer of Meriden, KS, and Brenda (Tim) Gorman of Topeka, KS; six grandchildren, Sage (Mark) Nord of Seattle, WA, Cody (Lisa) Ramsey of San Rafael, CA, Andrew Gorman of Topeka, KS, Matthew Gorman of Somerville, MA, Hunter Boyer of Lawrence, KS and Brodie Boyer of Meriden, KS; and one great grandchild, Everett Nord of Seattle, WA.

Lois was a member of Junquers Travel, Nucomers Club, SBC/ATT Retired Women’s Coffee group and the Telephone Pioneers.  She enjoyed reading, working in the yard, shopping and she loved to travel.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family, researching history and had visited almost every state capital and she had a wealth of knowledge of museums.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens.  The services will be live-streamed on the Davidson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Facebook page.  She will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the Meriden VFW Post 10815 and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
