Mr. Lloyd Brandenburg, 74, Topeka, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Plaza West in Topeka. He was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Finland, the son of Oscar Fredrick and Nancy Belle (Timmons) Brandenburg Sr. He was a member of Laborer Local No. 142. He also was a member of North Side Church of Christ. He was a local musician for many years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Chris Brandenburg, Topeka; a daughter, Shelly Brandenburg, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Cook, West Plains, Mo.; two sisters; three brothers; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Penwell Gabels Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Lloyd Brandenburg will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at Parker-Price Mortuary, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Lloyd Brandenburg Memorial Fund and sent to 1513 N.W.
