Linda Sue Thomas, 66, of Topeka passed away Monday, December 15, 2014.
She was born February 29, 1948 in Koshkonong, MO, the daughter of John D. and Cora Alene (Harreal) Thomas.
Linda was employed as head cook for Countryside Mental Health in Topeka, retiring in 2002.
Survivors include a son, Michael D (Jessica) Lathrom, Beatrice, NE; four grandchildren, Kurt Stockman, Thomas Lathrom, Sr., Dugan Lathrom and Chanses Lathrom; six great-grandchildren, J.R., J.D., Jeremiah, Joshua, Sofeeya and Tommy, Jr.; two siblings, Debbie Greeno and Vickie Thomas, both of Topeka; a niece, Jonna Sue Anderson; and five nephews, Bobby Dean Shaw, Joshua Shaw, Frank Ortega, Terry Greeno and Ronnie Dean Thomas, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Summer Lathrom; two sisters, Delphia McPherson and Bobbie Jamerson; a brother, Ronnie Thomas, Sr.; two nephews, James Dean Lambert and Vince Lambert; and a niece, Angel Grace.
Linda was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be 2 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Linda Thomas Memorial Fund, sent in care of Members Own Credit Union, 2600 Eastside Blvd., Beatrice, NE 68310.
