On Friday, June 1 st , 2018, after a fun evening with her oldest daughter and great pals at Plaza West Retirement Home, Linda S. Nunnery of Topeka, peacefully made her journey to Heaven.
She was born in Collyer, Kansas, and moved with family to Topeka where she attended Boswell High School and later married and raised a family here.
She is greeted in Heaven by her parents, Theodore “Ted” Jacob Malsom and Marcella (Dinkel) Malsom and her sister, Mary Schweitzer.
In 1968, she married Jack Nunnery Jr. and they welcomed two beloved daughters. Later in life she became a single parent and is lovingly remembered by her children, Rashelle Nunnery of Topeka and Jaqueline Hammon of Boiling Springs, North Carolina and her beloved grandchildren Jessica Connor of Silver Lake, Kaylee Munoz of Boiling Springs, North Carolina, and Brook Shughart of Topeka and her seven great-grandchildren.
At the end of her life on Earth, Linda had enjoyed winning bingo bucks in her favorite game, visiting the casino with her Plaza West pals and making memories with her children, grandchildren and great grand babies.
Her family will celebrate her life at a graveside service in Collyer, Kansas at a later date where she will forever rest beside her parents.
Her children ask that donations be made in her name to the Helping Hands Humane Society http://www.hhhstopeka.org/ in lieu of flowers, honoring their mother’s love of animals.
