Linda S. Kahn

Linda Kahn, 77, of Topeka passed away on October 31, 2024. She was born on October 23, 1947 in Moberly, Missouri the daughter of Vesper and Bernice Danner Blanchett. She lived as a toddler in Missouri before moving to Tonganoxie where she attended grade school and middle school. Linda moved to Topeka where she attended high school in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High in 1965. She went to work for Hallmark Cards in Lawrence 10 years, she had returned to Tonganoxie while working in Lawrence. Linda later moved to Topeka transferred to Hallmark Cards in Topeka and cared for her mother. She worked there until retiring in 1998. Linda lived with family, caring for her ailing mother and becoming a second mom for her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and watching and collecting movies. She was an avid antique and flea market shopper. She enjoyed going to stores in Topeka, Lawrence and in the Kansas City area. She loved holiday’s, she looked forward to getting together with her family. She was the first to show up and the last to leave. 

 Linda was married to Alfred A. Kahn. They resided 32 years in the Tonganoxie area. He preceded her in death in 2023. Along with Alfred, Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Blanchett; and sisters, Kay Bundy and Sara Beckwith.

 Survivors include her brother, Robert Blanchett of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Mary Fuller in Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Parker-Price Cremation and Funeral Services. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka Ks. To leave the family a message please visit ppdfuneral.com
