Linda A. Beland

Linda Alice Beland, 77, of Topeka passed away on September 16, 2022 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.   She was born July 25, 1945 in Gardner, MA the daughter of Alfred and Alice Nyman Bush.   Linda lived in Massachusetts until moving to Topeka in 1996.   She was a stay at home mom while raising her children.  She often referred to those years as the best time of her life.  She later worked at Athol Plastics and after coming to Topeka she worked for Payless Distribution Center.   She loved to go to the library and enjoyed reading very much.   Other interests that Linda had were spending time with her grandchildren, watching Wheel of Fortune with Henry, and working in their garden.   Christmas Eve was very important to her.  Her family would all gather and spend the evening together.

She was married to Henry Beland on September 1, 1961 in Temple, NH.  Henry survives at their home.

Other survivors include her children, Michael Beland (Diana) of Athol, MA, Tracy McGrath (Steve) of Topeka, Carrie Zengel (Stacey) of Nixa, MO and David Beland of Orange, MA; sister, Eleanore Donivan (George) in Mississippi; six grandchildren, Meghan Zengel, Matthew Zengel, Cameron McGrath, Jonathan McGrath, Dylan Beland and Alec Beland; one great granddaughter, Loren Beland

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Carl Bush, Warren Bush, Bernice Beauregard, Benita Jones, Florence Towle and Barbara Denis.
