Janice Kay Ables

Janice Kay Ables, age 76, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her home in North Topeka.  Janice was born May 2, 1945 in Topeka, the daughter of Vernon and Bonnie (Allensworth) Mosher.  She grew up in North Topeka, graduating from Seaman High School.  She married Charles Raber, they later divorced.  She married Emmett Ables January 15, 1979.  She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge.

Janice is survived by her husband, Emmett of over 42 years; three daughters, Linda (Jeff) Rahmeier,  Lisa (Rich) Tarwater, both of Topeka, and Letti (Scott) Ables Lister of Spearfish, South Dakota; two brothers, Vernon (Bugsy) Mosher and Dennis Mosher, both of Topeka; two sisters, Debbie Artzer of Topeka and Cindy Jewell of Mayetta; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Mosher.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Services will be live-streamed at the Davidson Funeral Home & Cremations Facebook page. She will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Rock Creek Bible Church or the Phoenix Hospice and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
