Lillian K. "Kelly" Ferris, 53, Topeka, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center.
Kelly was born May 25, 1960 in Seattle, WA the daughter of Cecil and Darlene (Hall) Linson.
She graduated in 1978 from Mt. Carmel High School in Mt. Carmel, IL and from Manhattan Area Technical College with an LPN Certificate.
She was currently employed at Caregivers Home Health and had previously worked at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, Frankfort, KS.
Kelly married Dennis Ferris on September 22, 1989 in Henderson, KY, He survives. Other survivors include son, Cory Smith, Benton, IL; daughters, Chelsea Ferris, Topeka, Leah Ferris, Manhattan; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Pam Neisler, Jamie Linson; brother, Randy Linson; and step-father, Ron Simmerman.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Frankfort Cemetery in Frankfort, KS. Kelly will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
