Lillian E. St. Louis
Lillian Elizabeth St. Louis, 95, Topeka, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. St. Louis worked for Security Benefit Life for 14 years in the 1930s and 1940s. She later provided child care in her home for many years.
She was born Dec. 27, 1907, in Topeka, the daughter of Fred C. and Pearl Elizabeth Martin Schone. She was raised near Denison and attended business college in Grand Island, Neb. She lived in Topeka and Burlingame, and later in Battle Creek, Mich., before returning to Topeka in 1972.
Mrs. St. Louis was a member of East Side Baptist Church, where she was active in the Children's Church Ministry for 17 years.
She married Ivan "LaRue" St. Louis on April 28, 1943, in Topeka. He died on Dec. 14, 1990.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy M. Schone, at home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. St. Louis will lie in state after 3 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
