Lillian Arleen Bowers, 86, Topeka, passed away Sept. 18, 2011, at her home at Atria Hearthstone East.
Lillian was born January 23, 1925, in Friend, NE, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Topeka VA Hospital for 28 years.
Lillian's husband, Cecil Bowers, Jr., preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by son, Thomas (Nancy) Liley (Naperville, IL); daughter, Patricia (David) Pearce (Lecompton); grandchildren, Noel Harmon; Heather, Jeremiah, and Drew Pearce; and sisters, Esther Deterding, Clara Witter, and Lena Burkhart.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, KS. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 1427, Topeka, KS 66601.
