OBITUARY: Lila Marline Miller
Lila Marline Miller, 72, Topeka, Kansas, died Friday, January 2, 2009, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka. She was born May 24, 1936, at Council Grove, Kansas, the daughter of Lyle William and Irma Rea (Young) Miller.
She graduated from Auburn High School and attended Clark's Business College. Lila worked for the Civil Service for 15 years and then was an admissions clerk at St. Francis Hospital for 23 years before retiring. She had attended the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a special friends: Mary Lou Holmes of Topeka, Bob and Lois Holmes of Topeka, and their children: Denise Payne, Debra Dreher, Sharon Higdon, and Dennis Holmes; two sisters: Teola Maxwell of Topeka and C. Colleen Sumner of Estes Park, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th & Menoken Road, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, Kansas 66617.
