OBITUARY: Lewis Allen "Big Louie" Creek
Lewis Allen "Big Louie" Creek, 57, Meriden, died Tues. morning, Dec. 19, 2006, at Stormont-Vail Hosp. He was born Jan. 14, 1949, at Topeka, the son of Floyd Lewis and Hulda Mae (Hailey) Creek.
Big Louie graduated from Highland Park High School. He was a driver for Consolidated Freightways before retiring in 2001. He was a member of Teamsters' Local # 696.
Surviving are 3 daughters: Jancy J. Romesburg and Karen M. Gardner both of Topeka and Lucy L. Jauregui-Perez of Albuquerque, NM; a son: Louie L. Creek of Meriden; 3 sisters: Jeanie J. Still, Connie Stich, and Susan Wilson all of Topeka; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Creek, on March 5, 1993.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Fri., Dec. 22, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Big Louie will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Thurs., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
