Letha Louise Reece

Letha Louise Reece, 65, of Topeka, passed away on June 11, 2024, at her home.

She was born on December 18, 1958, the daughter of William and Letha (Hamblin) Reece in Topeka, Kansas. She was the seventh child out of ten. Growing up in a large family, she became a great caretaker for everyone.

Letha went to school at Highland Park High School. Letha was favored by her teachers. She had a good heart and could make a friend anywhere. She made everyone feel welcome.

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Letha was very outgoing, determined to anything she put her mind to and stubborn.

She loved life and spread that large love to her family and her faith in God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rosemary, brothers Nelson and Ed Bennett, grandchildren John and Raklei Hammerland, brother-in-laws Terry Counts and Danny Simpson.

Letha is survived by her husband Norman, daughters Leona and Elizabeth, sisters Ramona, Sue, Lou, Ethel and Pap grandchildren Samuria (Jayvon Henry) Lillian (Anthony Soto) and Brandon Hammerland, Troy and Michael Thomas, great-grandchildren Jacciah, Jariah and Sophia, nephews Morgan and Robert Counts, Rueben, Jesse and Mike Bennett and Thomas Simpson, nieces Samantha and Tara Counts, Michelle Bennett and Danielle Thomas, great-niece Rhayn Counts and brother-in-law Greg Thorton.
