OBITUARY: Lester Dale Brown
Lester Dale Brown, 70, of Topeka died Wed., March 5, 2005 at his home. He was born May 20, 1934 at Topeka the son of Lester Wesley and Bertha Edna (Runyan) Brown.
He served with the U.S. Army, Co. B, 382nd Military Police Bn. and was station in Germany. Lester was a Yellow Cab Driver and then was a painter at the Topeka State Hospital before retiring for health reasons.
Lester was married to Sheron Ann Tibbits. They were later divorced.
Surviving are his caregiver: Marie R. Medley of the home; a daughter: Susan M. Myrick of Topeka; a daughter: Susan M. Myrick of Topeka; 2 sons: Clinton M. Brown of Cuba, MO and Christopher D. Brown of Scranton, KS; 2 brothers: Earl W. Brown and Donald M. Brown both of Topeka; 3 sisters: Betty Ann Turpin of Newman, KS, Donna F. Tibbits of Meriden, KS, and Darlene R. Tibbits of Lyndon, KS; and 3 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Sat., March 12, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, followed by military honors conducted by a Fort Riley U.S. Army Detail. Interment of cremains will be private.
