Leroy V. Murren, 93, of Lawrence, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015.
He was born November 28, 1921, in Delia, Kansas, the son of Asa and Hazel (Wilson) Murren. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Leroy retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Topeka.
Mr. Murren was a member of the American Legion, Richland, KS, Goodyear Retirees, and Rubber Worker Union Local No. 307.
Leroy married Roberta Barrett on June 3, 1946. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2008. Survivors include a son, Wayne (LaRae) Murren, Lawrence, KS; and five grandchildren, including Kelly, Ryan, Matt and Shaun and Shane Hodgson; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Karen Stamey.
Leroy enjoyed gardening, hunting, and woodworking and watching KU Basketball.

Private interment services will be held at West Lawn Cemetery, Topeka, KS.
