Leroy E. Steinebach

Leroy E. Steinebach, age 83, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his home in Topeka.  Leroy was born July 29, 1937 in Homedale, Idaho the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Casper) Steinebach.  He served in the U.S. Air Force.  He married Shirley Pierce September 22, 1957 in Topeka.  She preceded him in death September 27, 2003.  Leroy worked as a truck driver for Whelan’s Lumber Company for over 20 years.  He later worked for Shawnee County in maintenance.  He was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne in 2015 and Todd in 2017.  He is survived by a son, Jay Steinebach of Topeka; two daughters, Vicki Meyer and Debbie Steinebach, both of Topeka; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Steinebach of Hoyt; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rochester Cemetery.  He will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka V.A. Hospital and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
