OBITUARY: Mrs. Leota June Chappell
Mrs. Leota June Chappell, 66, of Middletown, OH. died Mon., Dec. 26, 2006, at University Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. She was born June 2, 1940, in Topeka, the daughter of Mabel Frances (Breeding) and Henry Levi Schmidt, Sr.
She attended Topeka High School and Washburn University. Leota was a sub rural letter carrier and a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church.
She was married to Isadore Chappell, Jr. on May 5, 1959, at Topeka. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1995.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Dawn Frances Sergent (Phil) of Middletown, OH and Lina Rose Haug (Greg) of Maumelle, AR; a son: James Levi Chappell (Mikki) of Hamilton, OH; a brother: Glen A. Hudspeth (Pat) of Springfield, IL; and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., Dec. 30, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Leota will lie in state after 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
