Lenora Jean Smith

Lenora Jean Smith, age 60, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her home in North Topeka.  Lenora was born September 26, 1960 in Hayti, Missouri.  She graduated from high school in Florida and received an associate’s degree.  Lenora worked as a nurse for various care homes and home healthcare.

Lenora enjoyed her trips to the casinos, going to yard sales and Goodwill and was known to have a “mouth of the south.” She was a very generous person and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.  Lenora loved her drag performers.

Lenora is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Jeremy Parker) Ramirez and  Jacquelynn (Chelsea) Smith; brothers, Ralph Burns and Shelby Moore; sister, Geneva Burns; grandchildren, Nicole Ramirez, Jack Hall and Olivia Ramirez.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ollie “Bud” Moore and Michael Allen, and two sisters, Betty and Vicki Moore.
