Lenetta Kay Spencer

Lenetta Kay Spencer, age 79, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.  Lenetta was born April 24, 1942 the daughter of Harold and Eva (Brown) Challacombe.  She graduated from Highland Park High School. She married James LeRoy Spencer, they later divorced.  Lenetta worked for Frito-Lay, Hallmark Cards, Josten’s, East Indianola Elementary School and Cardinal Cleaning.  She had attended First Assembly of God Church in Topeka and the Faith Evangelistic Center in Leavenworth, KS and the former River of Life in Topeka.  Lenetta enjoyed singing and while in her 20's she sang in a trio.  Lenetta enjoyed crafts. She was a very giving person with a big heart.  She loved giving birthday cards to family and friends.

Lenetta is survived by two daughters, Leah Spencer of Topeka and Melany (Clifford) Blevins of Leavenworth; three brothers, Ron (Suzanne) Challacombe of Overland Park, Gene (Dixie) Challacombe of Topeka and Bob (Patti) Challacombe of Denver; and a sister, Shirley (Randy) Coffman of Topeka.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends following the services.  She will be inurned at the Scranton Cemetery at a later date.
