Lawrence Lister

Lawrence H. Lister, 82, of Topeka, passed away, Wed., Aug. 17, 2005 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. He was born March 21, 1923 in Delphos, KS, the son of Frank H. and Lois Alice Ray Lister.

Lawrence served int the U.S. Navy. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 37 years. He was a member of Goodyear Post #2187, V.F.W., and Rubber Workers Local 307.

He married Norma J. Macklin, Aug. 20, 1965 in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Cindy Large, Olathe; Brenda Kirkwood and Sandra Clear, both of Topeka; a son, Ray McNaughton, Topeka; two sisters, Dreda Appleton, Green, KS; Wanda Fosdick, Miltonvale, KS; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Sat. Aug. 20, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Philip Billard Post # 1650, V.F.W. will conduct military honors at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lister will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Philip Billard Post # 1650, V.F.W., 3110 S.W. Huntoon, Topeka, KS 66604.
