OBITUARY: Laverna M. Frost
Laverna M. Frost, 74, Topeka, passed away on March 16, 2008. She was born in Topeka, on March 30, 1933, the daughter of Leo and Alice Werner, deceased.
Laverna retired from Highland Park High School food service in 1995. She then worked at Meals-On-Wheels and the Kansas Rehabilitation Center after retirement.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary L. Iwig. Surviving are her 4 children and spouses: Debra and Michael Molter, Jack and Bridey Frost, Michael Dowell, and Samantha and Paul Spinelli all of Topeka; 2 brothers: Lawrence "Bud" Werner of Topeka, and David L. Werner of Ocala, FL; 3 sisters: Virginia Getsinger of Burlingame, Laura Schultz of Topeka, and Carol Whittington of Topeka; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her favorite Shar pei, "Sadie."
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM, Fri., March 21, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals-On-Wheels, 1500 SW Tenth, Topeka, KS 66604; Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800; or TARC, 2701 SW Randolph, Topeka, KS 66611.
