Obituary- Laurence K. "Larry" Bigelow
Laurence Kenneth (Larry) Bigelow, 100, of Topeka died on Friday, March 21, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center, Topeka. Mr. Bigelow was born August 18, 1907, in Reddick, Iowa, the son of Dell A. and Harriett (Wallace) Bigelow.
Larry worked for the Harry Turner Advertsing Agency in Topeka and retired from Patterson Advertising Agency in 1972. He was a member of Brookwood Covenant Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Ward, on July 29, 1974 and a sister, Grace A. Baumbach. He is survived by his wife, Mary, a daughter, Lotis Frazier, St. Louis, MO, five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 26 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM, at Brookwood Covenant Church, 3601 SW 33rd, Topeka. Private burial will be prior to the service. Larry will be lie state 1:00-5:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
