Laura's journey began with her education at Assumption Grade School and continued through Hayden High School, where she graduated with the class of 1963. Driven by her ambitious spirit, she attended Business School in Topeka, laying a strong foundation for her diverse career.
During her younger years, Laura worked at the family-owned IGA Grocery Store in Alma, a first step into the workforce that showcased her dedication and hard work. Following this, in her early married life, she took a position in a factory in North Kansas City. At the heart of it all, however, was her loving partnership with Ed Logan. She and Ed raised their family on the farm north of Alma. Her children, Sandra Fine (George) from Rex, Georgia, Ronnie Logan and his fiancé Bobbi from Eskridge, Kansas, and Rodney Logan (DeAnna) from Augusta, Kansas, all carry forward her spirit and values. She is also cherished as a loving sister by Mary Boyles of Eskridge, Kansas. The warmth of Laura's love extends to her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride into her life. She found true happiness in nurturing and spending time with her family, always eager to create lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
Though Laura faced the heartache of losing her beloved son, Tracy Logan, and was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Karns, and her brother, Freddie Karns, her resilience and unwavering love served as a guiding light for those she held dear.
