Larry D. Taylor

Larry D. Taylor, 73, of Topeka, passed away on February 5, 2021, after a well fought battle with cancer.

He was born on March 2, 1947 to Doyle and Laura (Henneberg) Taylor at Axtell, KS.

Larry was inducted into the United States Army on March 7, 1966 and served for 6 years before Honorable Discharge. While serving he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal with the "V" device and Bronze Star Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Purple Heart, The Combat Infantryman Badge, and The Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal with Bronze Star.

Larry worked as a Superintendent and Project Manager for Zack Taylor Inc. for over forty years before retiring.

Larry married Sandra (Williams) Taylor in 1967. They later divorced.

He was a member of VFW Post 400.

Larry is survived by Daughters, Christine (Douglas) Tipton from Topeka, KS and Caroline (Karl) McWilliams from Waverly, KS; Grandchildren, Victoria Tipton (Chris Arsenault) from Topeka, KS, Elizabeth Tipton from Topeka, KS, Lillian McWilliams from Waverly, KS, Caden Tipton from Topeka, KS, and Sara McWilliams from Waverly, KS; Siblings, Richard Taylor from Gardner, KS, Elaine Mick from Beatrice, NE, Linda Whitt from Topeka, KS, Betty Little from Topeka, KS, and Janice Roberts from Topeka, KS; and a host of extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lyle Taylor, Robert Taylor, Orville "Bud" Taylor, and Jim Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021, 11:00 am at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas. Inurment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
