Larry Dean Stonebraker

Larry “Squeaky” Dean Stonebraker, age 78, of Topeka passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Midland Hospice. Squeak was born August 14, 1940 in Topeka the son of Clyde and Mable Rogers Stonebraker. Squeak served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 – 1968 and was stationed in Cuba, Rhode Island and Newfoundland. He married Virginia Robinson December 9, 1962. They later divorced. Squeak worked for the Kansas State Hospital and KNI in maintenance. He was also a lifelong carpenter and mason. He was a member of the Topeka Local Carpenters Union #1445 and the Topeka Home Builders Association. Squeak was more know for racing cars in Topeka during the late 50’s and 60’s. Squeak was survived by three sons, Quent Dean Stonebraker of Silver Lake, Rod Stonebraker of Austin, Texas and Paul D. Stonebraker of Topeka; two daughters, Stacy (Brian) Christiansen of Topeka and Teresa (Jeff) Thompson of Hawaii; four grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Austin and Tanner and four great grandchildren, Dyllon, Dakota, Destinie and Ethan.

Celebration of Life will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Gayle’s Bar, 600 Paramore, Topeka. Inurnment will be Monday, November 5, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. davidsonfuneral.com.
