Larry Dean Ragsdale, 72, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
He was born March 11, 1946, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Ernest and Ola May (Ritchey) Ragsdale. He graduated from Emporia High School.
Larry worked at Topeka Metal Specialty for 30 years before retiring from Norfolk Iron & Steel in Emporia. After retirement, he assisted with sales at Boyd Metal in Joplin, Missouri.
Larry married Joan Servaes on October 15, 1971 in Topeka, Kansas. Other survivors include two children: Nichole (Jim) Oathout and Michael (Jennifer) Ragsdale; seven grandchildren, Maddie, Zoe, Kelsie, Katie, Reagan, Kennedy and Lincoln; one brother: Donald (Connie) Ragsdale and two sisters-in-law, Diana and Maxine Ragsdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Samuel Ragsdale.
Larry enjoyed golfing, fishing, yard work and woodworking.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery and a reception will be held at Parker-Price Reception Center, 1940 NW Central Ave., Topeka. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
