Larry Joe Yingling, 79, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013.
He was born July 23, 1934 in Topeka, the son of Dorwin E. and Sara Jane (Carothers) Yingling.
He graduated from Seaman High School in 1952. He founded, owned and operated Yingling Auto Service Center and was a cattle rancher.
He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Topeka.
Larry married Peggy Eileen Fry on October 9, 1953 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his son, Brian (Paula), son, Blake (Jackie), daughter, Cynthia (John) Mitchell, St. Mary's and daughter, Calla (Kelly) Haggard and sister, Shirley Farrell. Larry has 19 grandchildren, Brandon Yingling, Colton Yingling, Justin Yingling, Canaan Yingling, Danielle Yingling, Brett Yingling, Brenlee Yingling, Adell Aubert, Kenzie Olejnik, Mallory Mitchell, Chala Fife, Kelly Roberts, Eric Mitchell, Beth Wild, Justin Mitchell, Tanner Yingling, BradyYingling, Sara Haggard and Dorothy Haggard and 12 great-grandchildren, Natalie Mitchell, Bradlee Aubert, Kenadie Yingling, Hope Yingling, Rhys Fife, Becca Mitchell, Jaidyn Yingling, Brooklyn Yingling, Talon Yingling, Brecken Yingling, Braysen Yingling and Elise Ruby Yingling. He was preceded in death by his son, Brent.
Larry was cremated and a memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Second Presbyterian Church, 210 N.W. Menninger Rd, Topeka, KS 66617. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka.
